SportsEdTV Partnership

SportsEdTV x Bouncing Back Partnership

On July 28, 2023, SportsEdTV and Bouncing Back, both global online sports platforms, have joined forces in a cross-promotion partnership designed to benefit their respective communities and audiences mutually.

Founded by Angel Guo, an AAPI student-athlete and a rising senior from Phillips Exeter Academy, Bouncing Back is a community for underrepresented Asian American and Pacific Islander student-athletes worldwide. To support Bouncing Back’s effort of creating equal access to sports-related resources, SportsEdTV will offer current and incoming Bouncing Back members access to SportsEdTV’s professional and award-winning ecosystem of sports instruction.

SportsEdTV CEO Victor Bergonzoli welcomed “Bouncing Back’s ability to spread its influence among its community to promote SportsEdTV.”

Bouncing Back’s Director of Initiatives, William Peng, described the partnering as “one which will ensure their community of Asian American and Pacific Island student-athletes will now have access to the best sports instruction community and will communicate across platforms regularly.”

Angel Guo, Founder of Bouncing Back, reaffirmed the significance of this partnership “as a pivotal milestone in realizing our mission of uniting the AAPI student-athlete community and establishing a robust support system while advocating for increased representation and empowerment of Asians in sports." Through its inspiring stories, local chapters, community partnerships, and strategic initiatives, Bouncing Back strives to motivate and empower young and aspiring AAPI student-athletes to reach their full potential while championing Asian representation in the sporting world.

About SportsEdTV: SportsEdTV exists to help athletes, coaches, and parents LEARN, WIN, and CELEBRATE. We don't expect everyone who uses our learning tools to become a world champion - that's not our mission.

We do expect people who use our educational resources to become their champions, by whatever definition they view success in their chosen sport. For some, success is making the varsity team. For others, it’s becoming country champion; for others still, it may simply be gaining proficiency at a sport that offers a lifetime of fun and fitness. “

To us, no matter your aspirations in sports, if you are striving to improve, you are winning! As a leading sports education media company, we provide FREE video and blog content to anyone in the world with an internet connection.

We also offer a global online community where athletes, parents, and coaches can interact, connect, chat, share content, and find new friends. SportsEdTV videos feature coaching from world-class coaches and athletes - many of whom are or have coached world champions - and have been watched by viewers in every country in the world.

NCAA Webinar Series

Bouncing Back and Instacoach are collaborating to offer resources and webinars to underserved Asian student populations around the world. Instacoach is a Silicon Valley startup specialized in providing coaching, mentorship, and college recruitment advice for young and aspiring student athletes to realize their full potential. Through this partnership, we intend to invite speakers / coaches / mentors and host a series of webinars to discuss topics such as athletic recruitment, mental health, gender inequalities, and injury recovery.  We also aim to connect mentors and coaches virtually with student athletes in their specific athletic field at remote international locations where they don’t have easy access to such resources.

Our 1st webinar took place on June 17th, 9pm EST! We’d love to give a special shoutout to Instacoach Director of Operations Ty Corley for co-moderating and to NCAA athletes Will Huang and Kevin Keil for being amazing panelists. Will and Kevin have even both graciously offered a buy four get one free coaching/mentorship deal!

If you couldn’t attend our webinar but still are interested in the opportunity, please watch the recording on our website.

Asian American Footsteps Conference

On April 16, 2023, Bouncing Back x Athletes for Racial Justice have joined forces to host a workshop title ‘Asian Representation in Athletes’ at the 2023 Asian American Footstep Conference (AAFC) at the St. Paul’s School in NH. Every Spring, AAFC gathers together over hundreds of Asian-identifying students from 25 New England independent board schools to educate students and embrace Asian Identify. Thank you to everyone who came to attend both of our workshops on last Sunday. We hope you walked away with a more diverse perspective of the unique challenges AAPI athletes face throughout history, from collegiate and professional athletes to the Olympics. Physical stereotypes of Asians as being small, weak, and lacking athleticism have been perpetuated in popular media and culture. This stereotype has affected the perception of AAPI athletes, leading to a lack of visibility and recognition in sports. While Asian Americans have made significant progress in recent years, they still face systemic barriers and stereotypes that can limit their opportunities and recognition.
